Lesson 1 - How to Blog

This is what happened when I suggested that we consider blogging to learn English. Now I am reconsidering the thought. I never knew my female students could be so impatient. I guess I need to learn a few things...and soon!

Soon these students will be blogging themselves...

A Crisp Autumn Morning in New England and Christian Agrarianism

After a long rain the last couple of days, we are enjoying a glorious sunrise over Athol/Royalston Ridge and through the autumn leaves of New England. The pancakes are about to go on the griddle, but first we need some eaters. Everyone is slumbering off the effects of last night's Hayride at the Livergood's in Ashburnham. I love blogging early Sunday morning. It's about 40 degrees out.

We've been driving a lot in Vermont, Massachusetts and Connecticut the last few weeks, and I've come to the conclusion that this fall has been the best I've seen in 9 years. The reds, golds, oranges, and greens have been magnificent. It's hard to describe, but some of the words I try are "textured", "chameleoned", and "illusionary".

Combine all that lovely stuff with the Red Sox trying to win the World Series, and it all becomes pretty special.

I've fallen behind with my wood splitting, but I will begin again today. I only have about a 1/2 cord ready to go. When it's freezing cold, that will last you a little over a week. But we are all looking forward to coming in to a nice little fire and the aroma of burning wood.

Now to the reason for this post. Just a few minutes ago, I checked in with one of my favorite websites. It's called The Deliberate Agrarian. It's listed somewhere in the right column of this blogsite. There I found a link to probably the first "mainstream"article on Christian Agrarianism. It is a very nice article.

While not all Christian agrarians are farmers, we do see land tillage as God's original work for man, before and after the fall. In any event, this movement is certainly countercultural. Did I mention I'm growing a beard?.. Enjoy!

p.s. To add to the sheer joy of living, the Washington Redskins play the New England Patriots this afternoon at 4:15 p.m. eastern. Any guesses as to who I'm rooting for?

UPDATE: The Patriots clobbered us, 52-7...horrendous!

Ron Paul Revolution at Grand Central Terminal in New York City!

Patrick Henry? Thomas Jefferson? Nope. Ron Paul!

I've been so busy with life that about the only thing I've been doing is loading my blog with the greatest Ron Paul clips. If you haven't heard, he's all over the internet.

For those who hold liberty above all things political, this man represents our ONE CHANCE. Someone like this only comes around ever 40 to 50 years! America needs to wake up if she wants to remain free and hold off the forces of tyranny. Check this man out on the internet, or just call me...

We have ONE CHANCE to retain the best of America, our freedom. ONE CHANCE!
