This Campmeeting has always been special to me. It has the old time feel. The setting really conjures up the days of old when American evangelists used to travel from place to place with a tent in tow and people would camp out to hear the Word of God.
It is a bit weird in a way because every other person you see, you know. So, you end up just walking by all kinds of friends, otherwise you would spend hours and hours just running into people. But, hey, I guess that is one reason we have Campmeeting.
My daughter is really enjoying Campmeeting, too. They have a wonderful primary class that we all attend. Pastor Mark and Pastor John do book readings, Bible stories, songs, kid interviews, Bible films, and a whole lot more. I believe it is aiding in my children's spiritual formation. That is why we go.
