Tommy Emmanuel in Burlington, Vermont

An incredible musician and a wonderful man played a great concert last night in Vermont. A good friend and I were in attendance. As we were getting autographs later, I told Tommy Emmanuel how I appreciated his positive uplifting spirit. He told me, "That's Christ's message!" You could sense the joy of the Lord in this man and his own missionary spirit.

You can watch the videos below to see what I am talking about with this Aussie virtuoso...

Tommy played this song last night, and it was the one that touched me the most, especially when he sang, "He (daddy) always had some precious time for me..." Now that hit me hard.

This is my friend, fellow guitarist, and big guitar fan, Greg. He was the one that told me about Tommy Emmanuel, only about 9 days ago. Youtube took care of the rest! Thanks Greg for the concert and your friendship!

TE's Stage Set up with his Maxon Guitars (Aussie made of course)

Here is some more TE. This one he wrote in a deserted airport. While he was still composing a little girl appeared humming along. Soon her mother joined in. Later, as he was about to board, TE asked the mother what her daughter's name was. She said it was Ruby. So, TE gets down on a knee and says, "Ruby, I just wrote a song for you!"

One day at the University of Oregon, TE was taking a break from teaching. He saw people marching down the road in period costume. When he asked what was going on, he was told that they were going to walk the Lewis & Clark trail. He, being Australian, asked who Lewis and Clark were. He was referred to a book in the library, which he promptly read and was inspired to compose this melodious gem.
