Athol Road Agrarian refers to my road and my vocation. Vox cortis in Latin means the call of the heart. My heart's call is to the land and its tillage. It's a call to man's original occupation in the Garden of Eden.
Here on Athol Road, my neighbor is an organic farm school called Maggie's Farm. They teach adults how to do organic farming. They have their own CSA and interesting activities like post and beam building and the occasional sing along. I believe God brought us here for me to learn from these people who love the land.
I make a living as an English as a Second Language Teacher at Atlantic Union College, but I hope to be able to learn to farm and also learn carpentry to be able to pass along these practical skills to my children. I don't see much positive in the future the way we are going...unless we elect Ron Paul, that is!
