Malinka's Birthday Festivities

I haven't blogged for about 11 days now. That's how busy I've been recently. My daughter's birthday coming and my mom's arrival put us in a different mode for the last week or so. But, enough excuses.

Today was a great day. Today we celebrated my daughter, Julia's 6th birthday at Laurel Lake in Erving State Forest. There were 11 cars in all. Lots of kids and parents came and we ate at a set of picnic tables right by the water. We also had a nice pinata! The kids loved taking swings at it, but guess who knocked it down? JULIA! Can you imagine?

My wife, my mom, Hilda Cardona, my wife's cousin, and my mother-in-law all did a lot of cooking and preparing for the party, which actually continued for 4 days from the actual birthday. I mostly took my boys and stayed out of the way.

I can't believe my little girl is 6. I pray we can raise her right in the fear of the Lord. She got her first real Bible on Thursday with the little red letters she loves. In fact, she received so many gifts that I am going to have to create some more storage in her room!

This is the run down of the last few days:

July 17 - Mom arrives with Hilda
July 18 - Rain/did nothing
July 19 - Rain/b-day party cancelled/Giffords come to celebrate her true birthday.
July 20 - Nice day. Went to Amherst/Hadley. Evening party with Sanders and Motts
July 21 - Sabbath school for Julia. She sang 1 John 4:7,8 for special music. Lunch at Bulgarians. Sightseeing in Concord, Massachusetts.
July 22 - The big party at Laurel Lake. Lots of people, music, food, water, etc.

Tomorrow is the Gardner Ron Paul Meetup. Going with Brad Howes and looking forward to it.
